It's funny how that despite all the beautiful fabric and sewing patterns I have, a simple dress made from a vintage pillowcase may just be my most favourite thing I've ever made:
Although it could just be the model, she's one of my better creations too!

That is so cute and comfy looking, and yes, Anna is a wonderful creation too! Re-using these vintage fabrics is fun and creative. Have a look at my most recent post which reviews a book about using vintage handkerchiefs to make clothes for Barbie sized dolls. They are very funky and Mad Men.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is super duper cute and Anna looks adorable in it.
ReplyDeleteThat is so gorgeous! And Anna is just impossibly cute!
ReplyDeleteThat is so gorgeous! And Anna is just impossibly cute!
ReplyDeleteSo you have forgiven her for all the sleepless nights? She is so cute :)
ReplyDeleteAww she's adorable!! I bet she loves that her mummy makes her pretty dresses! :)

The dress is adorable. But can't be considered totally separately from the adorable model :-).
ReplyDeleteYep.... I agree with you... best project ever! She probably always will be... until the "next" project with two legs! She is quite the model too! Looks like she got it down! It turned out cute!
ReplyDeleteCute! And she's totally a heart-breaker!
ReplyDeleteI think this is just the first of these type dresses that are going to fall into this category! She is adorable!
ReplyDeleteIt's a simple dress but so lovely. And I like how she's moving and talking the whole time.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure if you meant the dress or the beautiful model. I would go with the model, but the dress is mighty cute.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on both fronts. Your daughter, and the dress, are both adorable! I'm sure she will get a lot of wear out of this dress!
ReplyDeleteSo so cute! Both the model and the dress!
ReplyDeleteThe dress is cute and the model is adorable! She really looks a lot like you.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful model and cute dress which will be so useful now it is getting colder.
ReplyDeleteShe thinks its pretty good too. Anna will be very opinionated about her clothes very soon!
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable. I love her flowing locks!
ReplyDeleteI've been out of town and just catching up on my blog-reading. That dress and the model are super cute! In response to your denim collar issue, did you sew all in one direction? You may want to sew directionally from the center back towards the center front. With the rounded neckline, the grain of the fabric changes directions and unless you sew with the grain, you will cause your fabric to stretch some. This is a Cynthia Guffey technique I recently learned and it really does work.
ReplyDeletechildren's clothes are so satisfying! they look great with hardly any (if any at all) fitting... are cheap to make and always look so cute because of the adorable little models!
ReplyDeleteShe's so cute! I can't believe how much she's looking like a little girl rather than a baby or toddler!
ReplyDeleteShe's such a happy, confident little girl! You made a good one there. The dress isn't bad either :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a good model! I love those simple a-line jumpers.
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable!
