today is the day

Monday, 5 January 2009
well this naughty little monkey didn't come out of it's own accord over the weekend, so it's coming out today whether it likes it or not mwahahaha! I'm a little bit scared of what's to come but mostly relieved and excited to know that I'll have a baby to hold by the end of today.

Some interesting comments to the last post: a few people referred to the baby as a boy, a few referred to it as a girl. I still don't have any feeling either way as to what it is, although I am leaning towards it being a male because it's clearly too lazy to do anything itself unless severely prodded into it LOL! My husband says the baby is just stubborn like me, but I say it's a procrastinator like him.....

Speaking of which, I'll be reminding this baby of the wait it made me go through for sure:
Free hilarious downloadable greeting cards over at Creature Comforts. Well I'm off now to the hospital, and I will try very hard to get my husband to update you (but he's a bit anti blogging.....)

  1. When I was having my youngest son, I was so glad to be induced. This last monkey was to be induced & I broke my water a few days early, so it went Fast! Good luck today.

  10. Happy real first birthday little one.

My colour astrology book shows you as 'Nostalgia Rose' and that you are powerful, knowing and expressive. What a great trio of qualities. Susan

  13. Hi Kristy,

I've very much enjoyed reading your blog since its inception but have not felt able to stick my head above the trenches to comment til now: I just wanna say all the very best of luck today! I have been refreshing and revisiting your blog for baby news this past couple of weeks and can't wait til you post news of your little bundle of joy!

Also, whilst I'm de-lurking I might as well go all the way: I'm totally inspired by all your blogged sewing projects! As a very amateur sewer - having not really sat at the machine since home ec (well, until I received a shiny new one for a recent birthday) - your posts make me want to get my act together and find some new skills as I'd love to turn out the stuff you do one day!

OK, time to go as am definitely gushing. Very best of luck for this biggest of big days.

Love from another Inner Westie, Amy.
